Introducing the APDAOC Board Members:

Sharon Miller – Co-President
Sharon was diagnosed with Parkinson Disease in June, 2002. She immediately set to work to do what she could to help move the research forward by getting involved. Once she committed to working with APDA, she found that it was rewarding to talk to other PD patients, especially the newly diagnosed. APDA is the perfect organization for her to help “Ease the Pain” of fellow Parkinsonians and to help “To Find the Cure” to wipe out this debilitating disease.

Jerry Miller – Co-President
Jerry was inspired by Sharon’s drive and determination to defeat this disease after she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He attended support group meetings and did what he could to understand the disease. When the opportunity came to get involved with APDA, he agreed too taking the position as Co-President with Sharon. Together, the Miller’s are doing what they can do to Ease the Pain, Find the Cure.

Alice Carlson – Treasurer / Public Relations
Alice, Sharon's mother, was very distressed when she learned that Sharon, at such a young age, had been diagnosed with PD. She is very thankful that the disease has appeared to be very slow moving in Sharon's case. When she moved back near Sharon, she could see how much effort Sharon and Jerry put into learning how to understand the disease and working toward moving the research forward to wipe out this disease. She admires Sharon's determination and, by joining APDA-OC, is doing what she can to help them accomplish their goals.
